That's Amore...

As everyone probably knows, last night was the Supermoon, the moon's closest orbit to earth in 18 years. What better place to see it than atop Peter's Hill in the Arnold Arboretum?

We made the trek up with some friends, our cameras, and some chocolate chip cookies.  From the very brief research I did beforehand I realized that taking pictures of the moonrise is a big chapter in the book of photography.  One I did not have enough time to explore thoroughly.  That coupled with the fact that I don't own a tripod yet and I brought both kids by myself made for a difficult shooting situation.

Nevertheless here are a few shots from the night:
